Hi Amos,
I was listening to your podcast , and wanted to comment on the part about God and Jesus being One. You brought a lot of new things up, that I had not considered before. Thank you! I believe that God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit are ONE also. I just blindly believed though, and never went about proving it. To me, that fact was just always a fact with me. I guess these days people want proof on things for whatever reason. I would be a little miffed, or in wonder, if I were you, too.
Another point you could make on this subject, is right in Genesis Chapter one verse 3. “And God said, let there be LIGHT and there was LIGHT”. So, in Genesis Chapter one, verses 2-3 We have GODS SPIRIT which “moved” on the deep, and then GOD SPOKE, (Here we have the WORD) “Let there be LIGHT” So right there…. in the beginning was the FATHER, SON and HOLY SPIRIT. Holy Spirit which spoke in to existence with THE WORD, the LIGHT. And then in the new testament in John chapter 1. John the Baptist bear witness to the LIGHT, the TRUE LIGHT. The WORD was manifest in the flesh, and the SPIRIT decended on HIM. HE made the world and the world did not know him, WHY? Because (back to Genesis) In the beginning the EARTH was without form, and VOID and DARKNESS was on the face of the earth. Once LIGHT was in the earth, GOD had to seperate the DARK and LIGHT, because darkness cannot BE or co-exist with LIGHT. GOD is LIGHT. GOD IS THE WORD, GOD IS THE SPIRIT. Why hasn’t anyone ever seen GOD’s face? Because he is PURE LIGHT, so LIGHT that it would kill us to look at it.
(One more comment please, I hope you don’t mind)
GOD set the Tree of Knowledge, of Good and of Evil in the garden. And then what? He made a LAW, “Thou Shalt Not eat of it or you will surely die”. In the same area, (I assume), was the tree of LIFE, without a LAW. CHOOSE LIFE GOD says over and over in the scriptures. So, with KNOWLEDGE (the tree) also comes a LAW. KNOWLEDGE AND LAW COME TOGETHER. So GOD gave you a CHOICE, and does to this day. The tree of KNOWLEDGE, of what? of GOOD, and what else? EVIL. This tree gave us the KNOWLEDGE that there was such a thing as opposites. DARK- LIGHT, BLACK-WHITE, UP-DOWN etc. That KNOWLEDGE, of opposites, is itself what causes death, for without the KNOWLEDGE of the opposite of LIFE there would be no DEATH. And what else? DISOBEDIANCE to the LAW leads to DEATH, DARKNESS, BONDAGE, EVIL,etc….. If you disobey GOD you will SURELY DIE. GOD is in charge over all, and GOD gives us a CHOICE……LIFE, LIGHT, all things GOOD, without LAWS, or the opposite, which is DEATH, DARKNESS, EVIL, LOTS OF LAWS, and ALL THINGS that are DARK. Some people choose darkness over and over again, until they come to their own personal limit, when they CRY out to GOD, and say “show me the way”. Jesus says, I AM THE LIGHT OF THIS WORLD, follow ME. Knock, I WILL ANSWER, ASK and I will GIVE you ALL THINGS. All GOD wants is for us to acknowledge that all things come from HIM, the evil as well as the good. By simply asking GOD, you are acknowledging him. In fact he is BEGGING us to ASK HIM. That is why all of the evil is in this world today. We have not acknowledged him. We haven’t even ASKED. So by not even the acknowledgement of GOD, and all things GOOD, naturally you GET what you asked for…..DARKNESS. For without GOD, which is THE LIGHT, THE TRUTH, THE WAY, THE TRUTH, the opposite is what is left. Evil, crime, sodomy, darkness, etc. etc. If we could get people on a large scale, some day or some moment to just simply ASK, we may see the LIGHT shine on us again. MAY GOD BLESS YOUR MINISTRY GREATLY. AS HE already has. Your words are goodly to hear, and obviously the Spirit speaks through you. Hi Donna… all good points. I can see you’ve been thinking about all of this deeply. We are to “not be unaware of the devil’s schemes”. He’s crafty and tries to outwit us.
But we have the mind of Christ, and the Holy Spirit will lead us into all truth. I am SO thankful for that. In my mind, I do not have the ability to discern these attacks, but with the mind of Christ, I can take all things captive and know that Christ will protect me.
God bless you for your comments and your insight. Christ will gain the victory for us in all things. We must just trust in our Good Shepherd!
